OUR LADY OF FATIMA CAMP 2011
THE SECRET OF THE QUEEN OF PROPHETS:
THE GRACE OF ITS DISCLOSURE
The jubilee of the year 2000 was inaugurated in St. Peter’s Basilica on 24 December 1999 by a strange initiation ceremony that aimed at reconciling all peoples and religions, in accordance with Pope John Paul II’s millenarian and globalist plan. There was neither holy water to drive away the Devil nor incense to express worship of the true God. They were replaced with perfumes and flowers brought by laymen from the East while blasts of African horns resounded.
The pagan feasts of that year 2000 and the Pope’s scandalous acts – his interfaith meetings and solemn acts of repentance for the « historical faults » (sic) committed by the Church – eclipsed the only anniversary that deserved to be celebrated. The scholarly studies of our Brother Bruno confirmed the truth of this anniversary: « In year 1 of His era Jesus was born at Bethlehem, and it was on 25 December » (CCR n° 325, December 1999, pp. 1-11)
In the spring, John Paul II’s trip to Palestine resembled an apotheosis of the Antichrist. On 21 March 2000, the Pope exclaimed from the banks of the Jordan river: « May St. John the Baptist protect Islam! » The following Thursday, he opened an interfaith meeting at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Jerusalem with a quotation of the first sura of the Qur’an. He expressed there the wish that « the All-Powerful might bring peace to his entire beloved region. »
Our Father commented: « Without Jesus Christ? That is impossible, Most Holy Father! He alone is our Peace, along with His divine Mother. » (CCR n° 329, April 2000, p. 1)
This mad year 2000, however, was also the year that brought an unexpected grace: the publication of the third part of the Secret of Fatima. The most Blessed Virgin had demanded that it be revealed in 1960 at the latest.
FALSE AND TRUE SECRET.
John Paul II was undeniably continuing his long and secret combat against Our Lady of Fatima, a combat that reached its paroxysm when he came to the places of the Apparitions, on 13 Mai 2000, for the beatification of the two seers, Francisco and Jacinta. In fact, on that day, at his command and in his presence, Cardinal Sodano, Secretary of State, began to reveal the Third Secret by distorting it: he dared to claim that the martyr Pope mentioned in the Secret was John Paul II, the victim of an attack in 1981. He inferred that John Paul II was the pope of Fatima, the elect of the Immaculate! In short, it was « the supreme deception » (The whole Truth about Fatima, t. 4, ed. CRC, 2003, p. 405-436).
Our Father, who was convinced that the Pope had falsified the Secret, went on pilgrimage to Fatima with Brother Bruno. He did not cease murmuring: « It is frightening.
– What is frightening?
– It is frightening, this way of speaking of the “Secret”, as if it were nothing. The first part is Hell. Nothing else. It inspires fear in no one! The second part is Communism. But it has vanished. And the third part? It is supposed to be the attack of 13 May 1981… What a lie! »
Then came the complete disclosure of the true Secret, i.e. of its authentic text, on 26 June 2000. This disclosure, however, was accompanied by a fallacious commentary by Cardinal Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. « No great mystery is revealed. The veil of the future has not been torn back », he wrote by insinuating that Lucy was a storyteller whose imagination was nourished on infantile devotions: « The concluding part of the Secret uses images that Lucy may have seen in devotional books and that draw their inspiration from ancient intuitions of faith. »
« Which images? Fr. de Nantes asked. If the cardinal knows, let him tell us which ones! He, however, knows none of them. »
Contrary to Cardinal Ratzinger’s untrue claims, the visions of the Secret have an extraordinarily novel and prophetic character, which was unimaginable in 1917, because they clearly announce and describe what we have been experiencing since 1960. They thus confirm Fr. de Nantes’ theological analyses and demonstrations.
NEW COVENANT.
After rejecting the Cardinal’s modernist commentary, our Father, in a heart to Heart colloquy with his Mother of Heaven, meditated on this Secret. He was convinced of the extraordinary significance of the Fatima revelations that define the clauses of a « new Covenant ». He had demonstrated it in his editorial of January 1992, entitled The Light under the Bushel: this Adorable Secret.
« We must confess and proclaim that what has guided us these last thirty years and more in our close observation of world events has been the great revelation of Fatima of 13 July 1917, a light under the bushel of the so-called “new evangelisation”. On that day, Our Lady offered us a Covenant between God Her Son Jesus Christ and men – a Covenant that was the daughter of the new and eternal Covenant sealed forever in the Blood of the Lamb and in the indefectible Faith of His Church-Spouse, true daughter of Abraham and holder of all His promises.
« It was a contractual Covenant, an unequal treaty, in which little is asked of the creature and much is promised, provided the creature is faithful to his Saviour, devoted to the Mediatrix of this accord, assiduously satisfies all Their requests and remains loyal in this service. That is a minimum! In exchange, peace on earth and glory in Heaven will be our reward.
« Therefore, the affairs of this century are conducted from On-High by God in accordance with the terms of this Covenant as were the vicissitudes of the Hebrew people in accordance with the Mosaic Covenant, and as the joys and woes of Christendom, in particular of France “eldest daughter of the Church”, resulted from their fidelity or failings towards the law of Jesus Christ, their Head and mystical Spouse. By reason of their blindness and hard-heartedness, all this is madness for other men, but for the good Catholic it is clear and satisfying. »
Since the visions of the third part of the Secret describe, in an allegorical form, the divine promises that respond to this « new Covenant » in Mary, and the chastisements that are tied to the refusal of the Church’s highest authorities to satisfy those requests, we shall first recapitulate its first two parts.
Then, we shall see that the Third Secret was a light and a solace for our Father because its central vision made us love, admire and revere again a good Pastor, « overflowing with solicitude for his flock and already attracting all souls to himself that he might cure the world of its folly with his humour and sensitivity... »
THE FUTURE FOR SINNERS: « AN OCEAN OF FIRE ».
It was after having received a formal order from her superiors that, in August 1941, Sister Lucy revealed the first two parts of the Secret in her third volume of her Memoirs.
On 13 July 1917, « Our Lady opened Her hands once more as She had done the two previous months. The reflection seemed to penetrate the earth… »
« To speak of a reflection, Fr. de Nantes wrote, displays a remarkable theological precision. The human being cannot see the light which is God, but only the reflection of this light. The distinction exactly illustrates the thought of St. Paul: “For at the present time we see through a mirror, as in an enigma, but then it will be face to Face. Now, I know in a partial way; but then I will know as I am known.” (1 Co 13:12) » (The Secret of Mary, CCR n° 332, August 2000, p. 2)
« … and we saw what looked like a vast ocean of fire. Plunged in this fire we saw demons and souls. The latter were like transparent burning embers, black or bronzed, having human form. They were floating in this fire, lifted up by the flames that issued from within themselves, along with clouds of smoke. They fell back on all sides, like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid cries and groans of pain and despair that were horrifying to hear and made us tremble with fright. »
Sister Lucy added in parenthesis: « It must have been this sight that caused me to let out the cry that the people around me heard. »
« The demons could be distinguished by their horrible and repellent likeness to frightening and unknown animals, but they were transparent like burning black coals. »
« This is perhaps the first time, Fr. de Nantes pointed out, that human beings have seen Hell and its inhabitants with their own eyes in this way. Mystics like Saint Teresa of Avila had some experience of it, but this was incommensurable with what these children saw with their eyes and heard with their ears before resuming their games and the course of their ordinary life.
« The fact is inescapable, stamping with an extraordinary objectivity mysteries that are inaccessible to our minds. It is not the imagination of children; it is the dogma of the Faith expressed with a clarity and precision capable of instilling in the heart of each one of us a salutary fear, lest we ourselves fall into this fire! » (CCR n° 332, p. 2)
The expression the souls having human form is metaphysically true, our Father pointed out. In fact, the soul is the form of the body. After death, the soul, which is temporarily separated from it, keeps this form while awaiting the resurrection of the flesh. After this resurrection, it is with their body that the damned will suffer eternally.
The demons, who harass the damned, while suffering themselves, have horrible forms of dreadful animals. It is – in the order of the creation – the explanation of the existence of all that is horrible: in His wisdom God willed it in order to impress the fear of Hell on our souls.
Eternal fire is a reality, our Father also taught. It is a physical and spiritual fire similar to the material fire on this earth. It burns indissociably the whole being, as embers are entirely consumed by the fire.
If Our Lady showed Hell to the three shepherds of Fatima in this manner, it was because its existence was going to be forgotten, ignored and even denied in the Church itself, in these days of the “soft apostasy”. Assuredly, it took nothing less than this terrifying vision to guard ourselves against the Modernist heresy, and to fix this tragic but evangelical truth in our minds.
In the Calls from the message of Fatima, Sister Lucy recalls that « there are many passages in Sacred Scripture that speak to us about Hell and its torments, and about those who go there. ». The vision of 13 July 1917 is « further proof of these truths, so that we do not allow ourselves to be deceived by the false teaching of unbelievers who deny them, and of those who have left the true path, who distort them. »
One day, our Father wondered: « Well, where are they, these “poor sinners” whose souls are going to Hell?
« They are here amongst us: they are living on this earth, they die and, because there is no one to pray for them, they fall into Hell. »
To say the Creed is one thing; to open one’s eyes on the world in the light of it is another:
« I had not dared to think, in our times of liberalism and slackening of moral standards, of identifying today’s horrible criminals amongst us with the same horrible damned souls of tomorrow, raging against and cursing God among the demons! All these multitudes, these “in” people, scientists, politicians, cinema artists, business men, killers, fun-lovers,... idolatrous, incredulous crowds, fanatical about their false religions or ideologies, are going to Hell because no one prays for them or preaches the Gospel to them. Are these people, especially those with heavy responsibility for the apostasy of the masses, for revolutions and hatred, are they the future inhabitants of Hell?
« I had not thought, then, had not dared to make this link between my various sources of information – between the sight of today’s events, the horrors of our world which we are shown, and the vision of the souls in Hell.
« Between all these people losing their souls with no one to pull them out of their damnable state, and the flames of Hell, so close, like a stage back-cloth, there is nothing but the light veil of death. Where their fathers are, they too will go. But where they actually are, we are still mingling with them, and we are subject to their influence. Ah! my God, may they never drag us down! » (CCR n° 273, January 1995, p. 23)
WHAT GOD WANTS…
Sister Lucy continues: « Terrified, and as though pleading for help, we raised our eyes towards Our Lady who said to us so kindly and sadly… »
So the following words relate to this “first vision” not as a “second secret”, but rather as a response from the merciful tenderness of Our Lady to the fear of Her children:
« You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. »
« What a moving revelation this is! » our Father wrote. The desire of the Heart of God is to save the souls of poor sinners, « by the means He has decreed in accordance with His Will and good pleasure, which is a magnificent flowering of universal devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Her whom He was pleased to make the messenger of this request and so place before Him as His own Queen and mistress! »
« Such a divine will takes its place among the very first supreme laws to which the Church must consent and wholeheartedly submit. This is God’s Will revealed to the world in the most striking manner by His incomparable envoy, the Immaculate Virgin Mary, and guaranteed by the most astounding miracles and prophecies in modern history.
« It concerns the salvation of multitudes of poor sinners already doomed to Hell, and is therefore a duty of fraternal charity of the first order!
« Finally, it concerns the establishment of the devotion beyond doubt dearest to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and which He wants to pass even before His own, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of His divine Mother! »
That is « why, since the revelation and diffusion of this Secret, the whole Church should fervently embrace the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. That, however, is not the case. » (CCR n° 245, p. 2)
THE PROPHECY WAS CONFIRMED: THE SKY WAS BLOOD RED.
« If what I am going to say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. »
« It is the Great War. In fact, it ended the following year for all the belligérants.
« From the end of this old war, the new contract comes into effect, as a final offer of grace and mercy on condition that the little requests are fulfilled. In 1918 therefore, this new Covenant began under the sign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. »
« But if people do not cease offending God… »
Alas! « soon after the victory, no gratitude was expressed to God or to His Blessed Mother, and the peoples sank into secularism, democracy and corruption. »
« … a worse one will break out in the reign of Pius XI. »
« Mistress of campaigns, Queen of battles owing to Her custody of the divine powers, the Virgin Mary predicts the Second World War even before the first is over! She knows and declares in 1917 what will happen in 1938 because She is from Heaven! She knows how obstinate men are in defying God’s power by insulting Her, at the very moment when She is seeking to save them all. She knows that God will not tolerate this!
« The prophecy is dated with an accuracy superior to that of the historians’ works. It was indeed under the reign of Pius XI whose role and existence no one on earth could have foreseen in 1917, especially the three little shepherds of Aljustrel, that disaster was declared: in January 1938, by a decision of Hitler’s suggested to him by Stalin. » (CCR n° 245, p. 2 and CCR n° 332, p. 4)
« When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes. »
« That night illumined by a strange light took place from 25 to 26 January 1938. I remember the accounts of the day pupils that morning at the boarding school of Our Lady of France in Le Puy. We others, the boarders, had not seen anything, alas, because we used to sleep in dormitories which were firmly closed with shutters on all the windows. Our companions’ exclamations, however, still ring in my ears: “Did you see it? I was able to read the newspaper at midnight. It was red, the sky was red, red, red!”
« On the following 13 March, German troops invaded Austria. Hitler was thus beginning his conquest of Europe pushed by Stalin. For the blind, the Anschluss was the saving of the peace. For Lucy, the seer Of Fatima, it was the beginning of the horrible, horrible war, which God had decreed to punish the world for its crimes. »
« … by means of war, famine and persecutions against the Church and the Holy Father. »
« No one can even claim that this punishment for the earth’s crimes by means of war has been lifted today. Nor, after the ravages of the Second World War, has famine ceased to hit peoples engaged in other wars and revolutions; it continues among many peoples and threatens to grip entire continents at the least suspension of the massive aid from the rich countries of the world to the starving. »
As for persecutions, they were bloody in Russia, in Mexico, in Spain as early as the reign of Pius XI. « Only the persecutions foretold against the Holy Father are yet to come. » (CCR n° 245, p. 3)
RUSSIA… WHY RUSSIA?
« To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation of the first Saturdays. »
« It is amazing this entry of Russia into God’s affairs on this 13 July 1917 – the fact, the date and the words of which are indisputable ». This was at a time when « no one in the world could foresee the success of her impending revolution, and yet, in the October following that 13 July 1917, she swept all obstacles before her. She will become a terrible persecutor of religion as well as of every human value. »
The Virgin Mary came, as She had said: in 1925 at Pontevedra and, in 1929 at Tuy. There, She specified more precisely the conditions for securing the still attainable peace.
« Thereafter, Russia is at the centre of this conditional Covenant between Jesus-God and the world that He wants to save. » She is the country dear to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, who demanded her consecration!
« It has to be noted, however, that in 1929, as already in 1917, the consecration of Russia to prevent her being the instrument for the chastisement of mankind, is necessarily joined to the work of pure devotion and reparatory charity of the First Saturdays of the month. The intention of both requests is the same: the glory, consolation, praise and love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary established throughout the whole world. »
« If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. »
« To hear this from the very lips of the Blessed Virgin, what a grace! What an overwhelming charm there is in this maternal call to heed and to carry out carefully what is requested. » (CCR n° 332, p. 4)
Nevertheless, these requests of the Immaculate Mother of God are not yet satisfied!
« If not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. »
In fact, since the 1930s, « peoples have not ceased to be ravaged by war, sparked off, kept going and intensified by Russia, cold war or total all-devouring war, European war then colonial wars, subversive wars, class war, race war and wars of religion… »
As for the persecutions against the Church, they spread to such an extent that the missionary exhibition in Lourdes, in 1961, evoked them in these terms: « During the first centuries of our era, 300,000 Christians were martyred. Today, from Berlin to Shanghai, from Siberia to Tonkin, 90,000,000 Catholics are being persecuted for our faith. »
As for the sufferings of the Holy Father, it was the Third Secret that would reveal them to us…
THE ASSURANCE OF VICTORY.
« In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted and a certain period of peace will be given to the world. »
« Will this logical end be anticipated by a sudden decision on the part of the Pope and of the bishops to do what God wants? Should we read: in the end, when the Pope will have had enough of this appalling carnage and of this universal damnation? Certainly not! Such salvation will come not from man, but from Our Mediatrix. Admittedly, it will be after the Holy Father has had much to suffer, as Jacintha saw. The Devil must needs have been given the liberty to reach the Pope in his own city, in his soul and in his flesh, like the holy man Job, so that like a prodigal son, struck with misfortune and himself attacked, famished and persecuted, he might sincerely return to his God, to Mary, before an astonished world.
« But first and foremost there will need to be a lassitude on the part of God, compassion on the part of Jesus Christ, a grace of the Holy Spirit of creative love, in answer to the prayer of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the holy Dove of peace. Therefore, to the question God will finally have pity on whom? The true answer is this: on the Immaculate Conception, and because of Her, He will save the world.
« How? As a good Catholic, He will save the world through the Pope, His Vicar, His Son, and this is how I translate this wonderful message in profound fidelity to its prophecy: “In the end, My Immaculate Heart, says the Blessed Virgin, will triumph (over) the Holy Father (who) will consecrate Russia to Me...” »
Russia’s conversion « will be awaited with an immense curiosity from the day the Pope proceeds with the consecrationrequested by Mary, in the sight and with the knowledge of the whole world. All will see the miracle and all will understand it!
« It will be the immediate and miraculous work of the Blessed Virgin Mary alone in the omnipotence of Her Immaculate Heart. It is to Her that the applause, the thanksgiving and the praise will rise in an immense outpouring of devotion, expiation, contrition and conversion of the whole world. » (CCR n° 245, p. 6)
At last, here is an ultimate promise:
« In Portugal, the dogma of the faith will always be preserved, etc. »
This means that everywhere else, it will be lost. Even at Rome? Assuredly!
If Portugal has been particularly favoured, remaining out of the conflict during the Second World War – we shall come back to this subject –, and if Faith is still preserved there, it is because its bishops, unlike the Roman Pontiffs, responded to Our Lady’s requests: they solemnly consecrated their nation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in 1931, and spread the devotion to the Holy Rosary there.
Sister Lucy often recalled that, in our « times of diabolical disorientation », the Rosary is a « powerful means of helping us to preserve our faith ».
Such thinking will be found among all the saints who saw the great apostasy of the end times approaching. Bishop Sarto, the future St. Pius X, wrote to his diocesan faithful: « The characteristic of our times is that indocility of the mind which aims at the destruction of dogmas, and that corruption of the heart which leads to the subversion of Christian morals. Yet, there is only one way to defend faith and morals, and that is to meditate on the mysteries proposed by the Holy Rosary. » For, « if the world has forgotten even the vestiges of virtue, by contemplating the admirable examples set forth in the Rosary, we are better able to fight the disordered passions within ourselves, we can rouse in our souls, along with a sincere regret for sin, a lively faith and a consoling hope, and we can enable all the other virtues to take wing. » (All the Truth about Fatima, t. 4, p. 158)
CURRENT EVENTS IN A PARABLE
Sister Lucy wrote the third part of the Secret on 3 January 1944. She did so after having been favoured the day before with an Apparition of Our Lady who confirmed the order of her bishop, Msgr. da Silva, and gave her the necessary strength and insights to write it.
THE MOTION PICTURE OF OUR TERRIFYING WORLD OF TODAY
« After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little higher up we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; it flashed and gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire… »
« The vision of Hell, our Father wrote, has taught us what the fire of the Devil is like. This latter vision teaches us that the angels of Heaven have also received swords of fire not only to defend the entrance to the earthly Paradise (Gn 3:24) for instance, but also to execute the chastisements decreed by God.
« Far from escaping into “a world beyond time”, we are brought back to the anguish which has been ours ever since that light of an unknown nature of 1938 and which has never left us, in the knowledge that we have still not obeyed the requests of the Blessed Virgin.
« This light of an unknown nature which looked like it was going to set the world on fire, on the night from 25 to 26 January 1938, was but the glint of the sword of fire that the Angel held in his left hand.
« Reading this text, which is not in Greek or Hebrew, everyone can understand that this Angel standing to the left of Our Lady has only to raise his hand for the whole world to burn. » (CCR n° 332, August 2000, p. 7)
In his Commentary on the Secret, which was published at the time of its disclosure, Cardinal Ratzinger claimed that it concerns only a past era: « Above all, we must affirm with Cardinal Sodano: “The situation referred to in the third part of the Secret of Fatima would now (!) seem (!) to belong to the past”. Insofar as particular events are represented, they now belong to the past. »
Our Father replied to him: « One would have to have been struck blind not to see in the inaugural vision of the Third Secret the motion picture of our terrifying world of today. Are not the flames issuing from the flaming sword of the Angel these wars that are spreading from one end of the world to the other, in Africa, the Balkans and Palestine, threatening to set the whole globe ablaze? »
WHEN THE IMMACULATE PROTECTS HER CHILDREN…
However, the remedy is right before us: these flames « were extinguished on contact with the brilliant light that Our Lady radiated against them with Her right hand ».
The vision cogently expresses the Mediation of the Virgin Mary who appeared at the rue de Bac, with rays of light streaming from Her hands. The Immaculate radiates God’s light and strength.
In the impressive theophany of the Book of Habakkuk, one verse fits our vision to the letter: « His brightness is like the day, rays flash from his hands; that is where his power lies hidden. » (Ha 3:4)
The Immaculate, Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix, intervenes to extinguish the threatening fire of war, when Her children turn to Her.
Thus it was that She protected Portugal that remained an oasis of peace during the Second World War owing to her solemn consecration to Her Immaculate Heart on 13 May 1931. « There can be no doubt, Cardinal Cerejeira stated publicly, that it was due to the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady that it pleased Providence to preserve us from the war, in readiness for which the invasion forces were already massing on the Franco-Spanish border. »
One recalls President Salazar’s ardent prayers in those dramatic hours. It was in December 1940. « When Hitler announced the date of his invasion of Portugal, wrote Fr. Fernando Leite, our head of government spent the whole night on the telephone to Generalissimo Franco trying to convince him not to allow the German troops to pass through Spain, and, at the same time, he was continuously saying the Rosary. He spent the night with one hand on the telephone and the other on his Rosary. And the miracle happened. May we not be permitted to state, therefore, that we were saved from war by the Rosary? »
The maternal protection of the Virgin
The maternal protection was manifest at the height of “Deadline 1983”, i.e. at the beginning of the 1980s., when Western Europe was terribly menaced by a Soviet military invasion. In fact, the superiority of the Warsaw Pact army over NATO was overwhelming at that time. Faced with the 333 SS-20 missiles designed by the Soviets as a strategic nuclear first-strike force to annihilate the thousand centres of strategic importance in Europe, the Eurostrategic American nuclear missiles were not going to be deployed in NATO countries before the end of 1983. Thus, the “window of vulnerability” as defined by President Reagan in his speech of 2 October 1981, would be most widely ajar in 1983.
Our Father revealed the danger during his great public meetings at the hall of the Mutualité in Paris and led his friends into a Crusade of prayers.
« Many of them, he would relate later on, took my announcement of the Deadline 83 very seriously, concluding that it was urgent to pray, especially to pray together as a family, to say the rosary together every evening, to wear the miraculous Medal, to receive the scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. »
That is why our Father was able to affirm: « As far as I can see, Deadline 83 was averted through the Rosaries of your children. »
« WHAT WE LACK IS THE HUMILITY OF PETER. »
After being disarmed by the Immaculate, instead of setting fire to the world, « the Angel, pointing to the earth with his right hand, cried out in a loud voice:“Penance, Penance, Penance!” »
Brother Bruno’s commentary is wholly inspired by the biblical symbolism:
« In Chapter 8 of the Book of the Apocalypse, John sees and hears “an Eagle flying high overhead and calling out in a powerful voice: “Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth.” (Ap 8:13) The earth denotes Palestine, the Holy Land, and is a figure of the Church.
« However, here it is not “woe” which is announced to the earth (that is to say to the Church) and to the sea (that is to say to the world), but a grace, in return for “penance”. » (Apocalypse of the Virgin, CCR n° 331, July 2000, p. 19)
The Angel of the Secret applies Our Lord’s warnings to the present moment: « Unless you do penance, you will all perish! » (Lk 13:3). At the same time, however, Jesus interposed Himself between the fire and sinners by “proclaiming a year of the Lord’s grace” (Lk 4:19).
Most assuredly, Our Lord wants us to convert as He revealed to Sister Lucy in 1943: « The sacrifice demanded of each one is the fulfilment of his own duty and the observance of My law; that is the penance I require and now demand of each person. »
Admittedly, Popes John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI have taken cognizance of the Third Secret. They, however, have overlooked its pressing call to conversion: they have stubbornly refused to accomplish the first and most important of the duties of their ministry, namely to teach the dogmatic truths by condemning the errors that have ravaged the Church since the Reform decreed during the Second Vatican Council. The reason for this is that they have lost their ways in heresy.
That is why Sister Lucy wrote in 1989: « What we lack is the humility of Peter, who acknowledged his sins, wept for them and asked for forgiveness. This is the penance that God wants and demands of us: that we acknowledge our own personal sins with humility, that we ask forgiveness for them and that we change our lives. » (Archives of the Little Brothers of the Sacred Heart)
A BISHOP DRESSED IN WHITE…
The central enigma of the Third Secret of Fatima lies in the Angel’s threefold call for penance. The vision continued with a change of scene:
« And we saw in an immense light that is God: “something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it” a Bishop dressed in White. We had a premonition that it was the Holy Father. »
« The light that is God, our Father commented, revealed its Name to Moses in the Old Testament: yhwh, I am. In this light is reflected, as in a mirror, the course of history, past, present and future, in one eternal present. »
A bishop is ordinarily dressed in violet, or purple if he is a cardinal. Here, he is dressed in White because he is the Pope.
On 13 Mai 2000, at Fatima, during the beatification of Fransisco and Jacinta, John Paul II wanted to impose the idea that it was he the Bishop dressed in White who, in the Secret, was killed. To this end, Cardinal Sodano, Secretary of State, censored and truncated the text of the Secret in order to make it correspond to the attack of 13 Mai 1981: « The Holy Father, Cardinal Sodano explained, falls to the ground apparently (sic) dead, under a hail of gunfire. »
Yet, the authentic text Third Secret, which was published the following month, announced something else: « The Bishop dressed in White is killed… »
John Paul II was certainly not killed on 13 Mai 1981. This attack therefore, does not correspond to the prophetic vision of 13 July 1917.
In order to identify the Pope of the Secret or at least to identify his prefigurement, in order to avoid prejudging the future, it must be recalled that Our Lady remained present during this vision. Thus, it is a question of a Pontiff who is dear to Her Heart and who is very much in Her thoughts. Furthermore, in the immense light that is God, he appeared like a glorious body, like One Living, like a Saint.
Therefore, this Bishop dressed in White cannot be one of those Popes who “set little store by” the message of Fatima, such as Pius XI and Pius XII, let alone those who showed disdain and contempt for it, such as John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II. Fr. de Nantes did not hesitate to say that these last Popes were « cursed by God ».
ALBINO LUCIANI, A WHITE LIGHT...
Everything makes one think that this mysterious Pontiff was Pope John Paul I, Paul VI’s successor, who was elected to the See of Peter, on 26 August 1978. He was the only Pope in the twentieth century, who was animated with a true devotion to Our Lady of Fatima, so much so that he wanted to fulfil Her demands.
« We had a “premonition” that it was “the Holy Father”! » The expression of Sister Lucy is charged with all the fervent devotion with which the Church surrounded John Paul I, the “smiling Pope” during the thirty-three days of his pontificate. “Another Saint Pius X without knowing it”, joyously announced Fr. de Nantes in September 1978, before going on to mourn, in the following month, “the Saint that God gave us”, in terms which one might take to be inspired by the Secret: “Albino Luciani means white light, the lunar splendour which shines in the night sky and illuminates it with a beauty that it owes entirely to the sun whose reflection it is. Such was the humility of him who confessed that he was not the light but merely wished to be amongst us as its mirror.” »
The three little shepherds saw him similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it. These words clearly express the brevity of a pontificate of thirty-three days. He did no more than pass by…
Brother Bruno wrote: « The vision recounts his “Passover”, according to the biblical expression that conveys the action of passing, in Hebrew pèsah, Passover. »
We remember that a year before his election to the see of Peter, John Paul I met Sister Lucy in the Carmel of Coimbra. In the course of their long conversation, Sister Lucy certainly prophesised to him that he would become Pope, while also revealing to him his vocation as a victim. (the whole Truth about Fatima, Vol. 4: John-Paul I, The Pope of the Secret, ed. CRC, p. 305-322).
That is why, as soon as he was elected, John Paul I was convinced that his pontificate would be brief.
IN A LARGE CITY HALF IN RUINS.
« Several other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious were climbing a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a large Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with its bark; before reaching there, the Holy Father passed through a large city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way. »
Let us follow Brother Bruno in his exegetical commentary: « According to the Book of the Apocalypse, a large city in ruins and filled with corpses recalls the Rome of Nero, punished for its double crime of idolatry (Ap 17:4) and murder (Ap 17:6).
« In the vision of Fatima, the large city crossed by the Pope is Christian Rome, a figure of the Church ruined by the conciliar reform. » (CCR n° 331, p. 23 and n° 332, 9.12)
As in the Old Testament, the presence of corpses lying on the way is a sign of divine punishment: « Yahweh’s anger burns against His people: He has stretched out His hand to strike them; the mountains tremble, and their corpses are like the mire in the middle of the streets. His anger, however, is not calmed, His hand is still raised. » (Is 5:25)
« The corpses, remarks Brother Bruno, are those which Saint John refers to in his letter to the Church of Sardis: “I know all about you: how you are reputed to be alive and yet are dead.” (Ap 3:1) »
Let us point out the convergence of the vision with the analyses of the theologian of the Catholic Counter-Reformation.
In 1969, Fr. de Nantes wrote: « “Jam fœtet, He already smells, just like Lazarus after three days. After three years of Reform, the Church of Vatican II already smells. It is the decomposition, the auto-demolition of religion wrought by its own ministers. The odour of putrefaction leads straight back to Rome: “The Church, little by little, has begun to turn on herself”, Paul VI himself admitted on 8 December 1968. “It is like an interior upheaval, acute and complex, which no one could have foreseen after the Council…” » (CRC n° 16, p. 6)
« It was, on the contrary, quite foreseeable, it was even inevitable », our Father commented. He in any case had foreseen it. And the indubitable proof that he was right is today provided to us by the Secret of Fatima.
John Paul I moved forward amidst the ruins, among the corpses, half trembling with halting step, as shown in the vision, insofar as he claimed to accept Vatican II’s legacy. He was not a master or a doctor of the Faith who had conceived a vast synthesis that would have allowed him to oppose modern errors with a renewed body of Catholic doctrine.
A POPE WHO WAS A CATECHIST.
Yet, John Paul I manifested an extraordinary charism to touch the hearts of the faithful. « How well he preaches! We can understand everything », a working-class woman exclaimed as she was listening to him.
During his three public audiences, he imparted a truly evangelical teaching on the virtues of faith, hope and charity.
His sermon of 20 September 1978 revealed his intimate joy to know that he was « swept up in a destiny of salvation that would one day open onto Paradise. The true alleluia will be sung by us in Paradise, he said. It will be the alleluia of a love that is full. Here below we sing the alleluia of a love that remains unsatisfied, an alleluia of hope. »
On 27 September, he spoke of the third theological virtue, charity, as ever with the same joyous simplicity:
« In a word, to love means making a journey, running with all one’s heart towards the object loved. The Imitation of Christ says, “He who loves runs, flies and leaps with joy.” To love God is therefore to travel with one’s heart towards God. It is a really beautiful journey! When I was a child, I was thrilled by the journeys described by Jules Verne: Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea, From the Earth to the Moon, Around the World in Eighty Days, etc. The journeys of love for God, however, are far more interesting. An account of them can be found in the lives of the Saints. St. Vincent de Paul, whose feast we celebrate today, for example, is a giant of charity. He loved God more than one loves a father or mother, and he himself became a father for prisoners, the sick, orphans and the poor.
« This journey also involves sacrifice, but this must not hold us back. Jesus is on the Cross. Do you want to embrace Him? You cannot do less, then, than to bend over the Cross and let yourself be pricked by a thorn from the crown on His Head (cf. St. Francis de Sales, Oeuvres, Annecy, Vol. 21, p. 153). You cannot act like that good Saint Peter who boldly exclaimed, “Long live Jesus!” on Mount Thabor where there was joy, but who did not show himself alongside Jesus on Mount Calvary where there was danger and suffering (cf.t. 15, p. 140). »
In the Third Secret, the large Cross at the top of the steep mountain evokes the Mount Calvary.
John Paul I certainly found himself afflicted with pain and sorrow, as the Bishop dressed in White in the vision of the Secret.
The following day, Bishop Martin, Prefect of the Pontifical House, presented himself to the Pope who was in the middle of devoutly saying his Rosary. After his audience, Bishop Martin noted in his diary, «The Pope is not taken in by popular acclamations. He remembers those which greeted Pius IX in 1846: “And after that came the crosses! For me the first of them have already arrived”. (The whole Truth about Fatima, Vol. 4:p. 331).
John Paul I similarly opened his soul to his Vicar General for Vatican City: « You see, Monseigneur, I’m always smiling but, believe me, deep down I’m suffering. »
In his first message to Catholics throughout the world on 27 August 1978, we can discern his testament: « The Gospel invites all its sons to place their personal energies, and even their very lives, at the service of their brothers, in the name of Christ’s love: “No greater love is there than to give one’s life for those one loves.” (Jn 15:13) »
TOWARDS A DEADLY CONFRONTATION.
According to the Secret of Fatima, « having reached the summit of the mountain, falling on his knees at the foot of the large Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him ».
In the plot of the wicked against the Servant of God, the malevolent remarks of false brothers are the biblical and symbolic significance of arrows.
John Paul I suffered the attacks of scoffing journalists and acerbic criticism from the Modernist theologians who felt threatened.
Our Father understood straightaway the imminence of the tragedy: it would be « a great dramatic confrontation between those who hold the faith and those who are perverting it, between those who are building up the Church and those who are destroying it, between the men of God and the mercenaries of Satan, for they exist » (CCR n° 103, p. 4).
Several of John Paul I’s parables « heralded the controversy to come, as did Christ’s terrifyingly clear allegories in Jerusalem, which made the scribes and Pharisees grind their teeth, as they saw that they had been exposed, and so made them want to kill Him. The sublime little parable about the Milan porter ostensibly teaches religious recollection and the worship of God even amidst the din of our great cities. The intimate disciple, however, – as well as the enemy whose hatred gives him a certain lucidity – understood therein an invitation to despise the world and its excessive demands, for God alone must be the master of all things in His Church. »
On 23 September, in his homily given in the Basilica of Saint John Lateran, John Paul I announced that he would fulfil the duties of his charge, as he had always done:
« In Rome I shall put myself in the school of St. Gregory the Great who writes: “The pastor should, with compassion, be close to each of those who are subject to him. Forgetful of his rank, he should consider himself the equal of his good subjects, but he should not fear to exercise the rights of his authority against the wicked.” »
Our Father commented on this homily: « Words long meditated upon, make no mistake! For the good they were the announcement of an exceptional season of gentle charity, of warm understanding and of an unaffected papal welcome, a renewal of patristic times under the easily discernible influence of Rosmini. To the wicked – ah yes, the wicked exist and they need to be accorded the charity of some rather more robust treatment – to the wicked his words represented the authoritative imposition of respect for the divine faith and law, assisted, if need be, by the threat of ecclesiastical sanctions. »
John Paul I, who was very well informed of the financial wrongdoings and frauds in the Vatican, was determined to carry out within the Curia a number of enforced resignations, liberating transfers and honest appointments. He not only wanted to dismiss Marcinkus, Paul VI’s businessman, but all his mafia, and thus cut all ties with Michele Sindona’s and Roberto Calvi’s Banco Ambrosiano group.
Moreover, the Pope was in conflict with high prelates of the Curia. Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio challenged his choices and decisions regarding the nominations of new bishops to several diocesan sees, including that of the Venice patriarchate.
Here is the tesimony of Don Licio Boldrin, a Venetian parish priest:
« In 1981, I met Cardinal Casaroli outside the Church of the Piazza del Gesù. We spoke about Pope Luciani. “On day, the Cardinal told me, I took the liberty of telling him: Holiness, try to follow the Congregation’s directions for episcopal appointments. At least, like that, the Pope will not be criticised. He took me by the hand and said, Excellency, don’t talk like that, for if I needed to be wary of those who speak ill, I would have dismiss you from here immediately. » (The whole Truth about Fatima, t. 4, p. 354)
THE POPE OF THE HOLOCAUST.
Sister Vincenza witnessed a scarcely believable scene, one that allows us a glimpse of the terrible pressures and threats that John Paul I had to suffer from several prelates.
« While I was at the Vatican, she recounted, I used to clean the sitting room around 8 A.M., for there was no one there at that time. One morning, making my usual visit, I was too late to notice that the Holy Father was already there. His posture revealed his profound affliction. By his side was his secretary. I made my apologies and hastily withdrew. Nevertheless, I had time to hear his secretary saying to him: “Holiness, it is you who are Peter! It is you who wield authority! Do not let yourself be intimidated...” That phrase speaks volumes. »
« Poor Holy Father! » ... so spoke the Blessed Jacinta, a true prophet.
It was on Thursday, 28 September 1978 that John Paul I carried out his regal coup against Archbishop Marcinkus and Cardinals Villot and Baggio. The following morning, at 4.45 a.m., Sister Vincenza found him dead in his bathroom, and ran to tell his private secretary.
Very soon, Fr. de Nantes suspected an assassination. In fact, what he personally learned about the circumstances of his demise, was disturbing, to say the least: « Why in the bathroom, was the Pope still clutching the papers of his episcopal and patriarchal appointments as though to keep them from being snatched away? And why the horribly distorted face that not even the masseurs, who were immediately informed, were able to restore after long hours of work? » (CCR n° 107, February 1979, p. 19)
In 1979, our Father collected « the testimony of a Roman personality, which was precise and explicit about John Paul I’s demise ». According to this source, the Pope had been poisoned by a mortal dose of digitalis that he had swallowed thinking that he was taking his usual medicine. That is why in his conference of 24 November 1979, Fr. de Nantes evoked the criminal hand that « tripled the dose of digitalis, on 28 September 1978 » (CCR n° 119, February 1980, p. 3).
The outstanding and implacable demonstration that the English journalist David Yallop published in his book In the Name of God, in 1984, confirmed the truth of all that our Father had learned and presumed.
After three years of secret enquiry, David Yallop, whose information was « verifiable on a thousand points » revealed the reasons and precise circumstances the assassination of John Paul I by poisoning: « This experienced investigator denounces the six presumed partners or authors of this crime, men who were also bound up in a tissue of other sordid and financial crimes both before and after… He determines their motives, and then minutely reconstitutes, in an amazing manner, the activity of Cardinal Jean Villot, Secretary of State, during the twelve hours following the crime to make it look like a natural death. » (CCR n° 172, July 1984, p. 1)
Fr. Jesus Lopez Saez, a Spanish priest with a degree in theology from the Gregorian University in Rome, took up, continued and completed the English investigator’s enquiry. In 1991, he wrote: « In short, there is a great deal of evidence (facts, clues, signs) for this conclusion: a death arranged at the “opportune moment”.
« Today, if one wishes to know the truth on John Paul I’s demise, there exists such a wealth of evidence that no judge on earth could disregard it, and what is more this evidence is in the public domain.
« The Vatican told one lie after another: “Lies about little things, lies about big things. All these lies had but one purpose: to disguise the fact that Albino Luciani had been assassinated.” » (Se pedira cuenta, ed. Origenes, p. 12-15 et 124)
Sister Lucy was aware of the tragic circumstances of his death. A year before the publication of the Third Secret, Fr. José Valinho, his nephew, confided to me: « Sister Lucy told me that the death of Pope John Paul I was mysterious. » And to enlighten me further about his aunt’s thinking, he added: « The fact is, they refused to carry out an autopsy. »
Furthermore, Mrs. Maria das Dores Pestana, who used to accompany her mother during her parlour conversations with the holy Carmelite, declared to me on 19 February 2003: « Sister Lucy is convinced that John Paul I was assassinated. »
Thus, before the publication of the Third Secret, Sister Lucy spoke of a « mysterious death ». Bound by secrecy, she could not say more. Three years later, when the Secret had been published, she could say the truth that she had first contemplated in the vision of 13 July 1917 and then announced during the parlour conversation with Cardinal Luciani in 1977, a truth that was finally fulfilled during the night of 28 to 29 September 1978: he was assassinated.
All that we know about the John Paul I’s intimate dispositions is in keeping with the lesson of the Secret: his death was a redemptive sacrifice, the sacrifice of the Good Shepherd who gave his life for his sheep, in imitation of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King, Priest, Victim for the salvation of the world.
THE WASTING AWAY OF THE CHURCH.
The last scene in the Secret leaves us with this terrifying vision of the Church wasting away:
« … and in the same way there died one after another the Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people, men and women of different ranks and positions. »
Today, this is no longer a “secret” nor even a prophecy: since the reform decreed at the Second Vatican Council, it is the recognition of an evident state of affairs. Every day the clergy, both regular and secular, is dwindling.
« They have long been pretending to have gained in quality what they have lost in numbers. They then concealed the losses, the falling attendance and the desertions by reorganising, rationalising, restructuring and promoting the laity. These lies diverted the attention of the princes of the Church from the relentless expansion of the desert and the total death of formerly luxuriant regions. Now, inexorably, we are facing an impossible situation. Monasteries are closing, priests are dying, parishes are being reorganised, and the people are abandoned. There is worse still: without sufficient nourishment and assistance, souls are now being starved of their spiritual sustenance. » (CRC n° 310, February - March 1995, p. 34)
Should we give figures? In twenty years, from 1980 to 2000, the number of professed religious who are not priests decreased by a third in the world. In Poland, during that same period, i.e. during the pontificate of the Polish pope, the number of baptisms decreased by a half.
We know the cause of this wasting away of the Church thanks to the analyses and demonstrations of the theologian of the Catholic Counter-Reformation.
In the aftermath of his trip to Rome on 13 Mai 1993 to present a Book of Accusation against the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which had been written under the supervision of Cardinal Ratzinger and published by Pope John Paul II on 11 October 1992, our Father wrote:
« I owe it to the Truth to tell you clearly what our Book of accusation shows. Namely, that in this general and universal apostasy, of which this ccc is the instrument and the proof, it is an invincible necessity of nature corroborated by Almighty God’s infallible Will, unfailing in the holiness of Justice and Mercy, which is the very substance of his Glory, and therefore inviolable, that all, men and nations, absolutely all who adhere today to the faith, the law, the Spirit, the gnostic errancy of this supposed Catholic Catechism, will perish, falling from the divine to the human, from the heavenly to the earthly and finally from the predestination of grace to eternal reprobation. » (CCR n° 258, p. 3)
THE SOLE SOURCE OF GRACES?
The mystery of circumincessant charity is not for all that interrupted. This is the essential revelation of the Secret’s final scene:
« Beneath the two arms of the Cross, there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God. »
Brother Bruno compares this vision to the visions of the Apocalypse, where we see seven Angels tasked with pouring upon the earth “the seven bowls of God’s anger”:
« With Fatima, this liturgy of justice is transformed into a liturgy of mercy. The blood of the martyrs no longer cries out for vengeance as in Saint John’s vision; it becomes rather a source of grace and mercy... » (CCR n° 331, p. 27)
Nevertheless, the witness of the confessors of the faith is no longer honoured in the Church since the Conciliar reform. Fr. Werenfried van Straaten gloomily observed:
« The history of the Church has probably never known a period when its confessors and martyrs have been so persistently and systematically neglected or passed over in silence as those in our own time.
« This attitude in no way corresponds to the spirit of the Church.
« The first Christians were filled with respect for their brothers who suffered persecution for Christ. The martyrs were the very first to be venerated as saints. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated on their tombs to express the spiritual communion uniting Christians and martyrs.
« In our days one can scarcely find any trace of this communion. Although the Church for the last sixty years has been stricken with a persecution that is vaster, more refined, more horrible, more dangerous and more intense than any other persecution in the past, the act of denouncing it is considered by many to be a sign of intolerance. In our era, characterised by a unidirectional pacifism, the decadent West prefers to make peace with pagans and assassins rather than peace with God. That is why, even in the great family of the Catholic Church, we are living through the scandal of seeing the best and most proven of God’s children disowned and forgotten, or considered as “imbeciles” by their own brothers and sisters, as Hansjacob Stehle describes in his book on Vatican Ostpolitik. » (the whole Truth about Fatima, t. 4, p. 272)
The historian André Martin made the same observation, quoting two Lithuanian priests, who wrote, on 25 September 1974, in the Chronicle of their Church: « One day Christ reprimanded the head of the Apostles, even calling him Satan because “his thoughts were not those of God, but those of men” (Mt 16:23). The “Rock” can become a stumbling block if it flees Calvary and refuses to carries its cross (Mt 16:24). God may be betrayed in the very heart of the Church when we opt for the “broad path”, spacious and easy (Mt 7:13). It is not the diplomats dialoguing with the executioners who are saving the Church of Lithuania, but the martyrs! »
If Pope Paul VI and his successors have shown so much indifference towards the martyrs, it is because of their “new pastoral methods” that favour a « friendly and fraternal dialogue» with the men of all religions, even with atheists and communists. In his critical analysis of Paul VI’s encyclical Ecclesiam suam, our Father wrote:
« The old forms of the apostolate demanded devotion, self-denial and heroism, but they did convert the peoples and carry the Gospel to every part of the world, sprinkling them with the blood of the martyrs: Sanguis martyrum semen christianorum.
« “The Church in conversation” and dialogue run no risk of incurring persecution or disagreement, but then neither will they reap for the Church devotion or conversions. » (Letter to My Friends n° 180 of 20 August 1964)
The Third Secret, however, goes beyond that immemorial truth according to which the blood of the martyrs is the seed of Christians. It responds to the new drama upon which the world has now entered, namely the drama of the great apostasy.
« The blood of the martyrs, Brother Bruno pointed out, gives rise to an aspersion over the souls making their way to God, like the ancient sprinkling of the blood of bulls and goats shed in sacrificial expiation for sin in the Old Testament, and more recently like the Precious Blood of Jesus in the New Testament, shed on the Cross and in the Chalice of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
« The Communion given to the children by the Angel of the Eucharist, in the autumn of 1916, had already foreshadowed this disappearance of the priestly ministry. And yet in the hands of this Angel there was a chalice and a consecrated Host from which the Precious Blood dripped into the chalice. » (The whole Truth about Fatima, t. 4, p. 526).
In the Third Secret, the blood of the martyrs appears to be the sole source of grace after the death of the Bishop dressed in White. Unlike the theophany of Tuy on 13 June 1929, there is neither Chalice, nor consecrated Host, in this vision,. Then, the blood of the martyrs is gathered up not by a priest but by two angels.
Throughout the tragedy of the wasting away of the Church, the Bishop dressed in White remains in the Heart of the Virgin Mary and he is the one whom She wanted to show to us in the immense light that is God, passing before a mirror, like a glorious body. Thus, She has, as it were, brought John Paul I back among us, bringing him out of the oblivion in which his successor had buried him.
One day, the Church will have to turn with love to this Bishop dressed in White, martyr of his brothers, and thanks to his sacrifice and through his intercession, she will be reborn, when Our Lady’s requests have at last been honoured as the clauses of a new Covenant, rich in marvellous promises.
« For my part, our Father wrote in December 2000, I feel as if I had been delivered, after having fought alone for so long. I can step back before him whom the Immaculate is resurrecting for the salvation of the Church, the advent of which stands at our doors: glorious mysteries, scarcely hinted at in the Third Secret, because the vision of the victim killed by his brothers is enough in itself to inspire in us a premonition of his Resurrection.
« And so this third part of the great Secret blinds us with its light because it superimposes the mystery of the Virgin, the Co-Redemptrix, on that of this Bishop, dressed in White, put to death like a white host for his brothers. It is for each of us to take up his part in that marvellous denouement of the Fatima drama, under the direction of the Holy Spirit and with an all-consuming zeal and profound love for the Church. »
MARTYR FOR THE PURIFICATION OF THE CHURCH
David Yallop’s book, In the Name of God, which was translated into thirty languages. Six million copies were sold. It was republished in French in March 2011, under the title: Le Pape doit mourir (editions Nouveau monde, 479 pages).
In his new introduction and postface, Yallop reiterates his accusations by denouncing the authors and accomplices of John Paul I’s assassination. He confirms the truth of our Father’s demonstrations and conclusions (cf. Murder at the Vatican, CCR nos 172, October1984) as well as our own refutation of the official thesis developed by John Cornwell (cf. The whole truth about Fatima, t. 4, p. 323-398).
« In June 1985, Yallop relates, while the first edition of my book came out in paperback in the United Kingdom, I decided to render the task of the Holy See extremely simple by making it the following proposal:
« “If the Vatican succeeds in only contradicting two of my allegations – if they are able to show that my accounts concerning the identity of the person who discovered the body of the Pope and the papers he was holding in his hands are both false – I will repay the whole of the copyright amount that comes from the sale of my book to cancer research.”
« About twenty-six years later, I am sill waiting for the answer. » (Yallop, Le Pape doit mourir, p. 19-20)
Thus, « since the first publication of my book in 1984, the Holy See has not yet been able to refute the proofs that it contains and the questions that it raises.
« Besides, the events that have taken place in the world beyond the Vatican walls have provided a striking confirmation of both the facts that are described in it and my numerous conclusions. » (p. 455)
In fact, Yallop proved that he was right in what he said since he announced in advance what… actually happened afterwards! The sordid crimes and judicial proceedings, during the years 1985, 1990 and 2000, i.e. after the publication of his book, brought indisputable and horrible confirmations of the revelations and accusations of our courageous investigator.
Yallop writes about the Vatican bank’s directors:
« In my book, I accuse Archbishop Marcinkus of being directly and criminally involved in the bankruptcy of the Banco Ambrosiano and in the disappearance of 1.3 billion dollars. Since the first publication of this book, the Vatican has repaid two hundred fifty million dollars to the creditors of Calvi’s financial empire. This money was paid back… as diplomatic compromise that enabled the Vatican to continue to deny all implication in the matter!
« I also accused Luigi Mennini, the Director General of the Vatican Bank, of criminal frauds. In July 1984, a month after the publication of my book, Mennini was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment by a Milanese tribunal after having been found guilty of fraud and other charges linked with the Sindona crash.
« On the other hand, the arm of the law, was still unable to reach the President of the Vatican bank, Archbishop Marcinkus, who had powerful protectors, from Pope John Paul II to certain high-ranking civil servants of the American government of that time.
« In June 1984, John Paul II sermonised Switzerland for its bank ethic: “The financial world is also a world of human beings, our world, that is subjected to the conscience of every one of us.”
« Apparently the only conscience that was exempted from observing this doctrine was that of Pope John Paul II. When he delivered this speech, numerous alleged criminals were taking refuge in the Vatican City, such as Archbishop Paul Marcinkus, Pellegrino de Strobel and Luigi Mennini, who were all highly-placed directors of the papal bank. » (p. 456-457)
Moreover, Yallop renews his critique of the official and untrue report on the death of the pope, which was written by Doctor Renato Buzzonetti who, at that time, was “responsible for health in the Vatican”.
He quotes the testimony of Doctor Antonio da Ros who was John Paul I’s personal doctor during the last twenty years of his life. In fact, Doctor da Ros spoke publically in 1993 in order to give indisputable proof of Pope John Paul I’s « good health » on the eve of his death, because « two many lies have been written on his health », he specified (“it is 9 o’clock. the Pope is well”,CCR n° 335, December 2000, p. 20)
« After this revelation, the Secretary of State of the time or John Paul II ought to have urgently required a thorough enquiry and questioned Pope Luciani’s two former secretaries. This action, however, would have triggered off the opening of a true Pandora’s box. For many years the Vatican’s proceeding consisted in disguising and concealing things rather than in revealing them. Moreover, mystery and dissimulation had always been Wojtyla’s speciality from the time he was a young bishop at Cracow and until his death.
« Most of those who had known the Pope agreed with the opinion of the doctor concerning the Pope’s general good health. Some of them are quoted in my book. » For example « Cardinal Aloisio Lorscheider, of Brazil, Albino Luciani’s long-standing friend: “I was dismayed. I found it difficult to accept this sad news. I got wind of no clue, no negative sign concerning John Paul I’s health.”
« About the Vatican’s refusal to carry out an autopsy, Cardinal Lorscheider explains: “There remains a bitter aftertaste.”
« As long as lies, dissimulation and disinformation are officially endorsed, this aftertaste will persist.
« The first phase of Albino Luciani’s process of beatification was concluded at the end of 2006. Pope John Paul I will then be beatified and canonised. He will be praised for his undisputable goodness and holiness. His status as a modern martyr ought to be recognised as well. This man died for a worthy cause: the renovation and purification of the Roman Catholic Church.

The Catholic Counter-Reformation in the 21st Century
